Welcome to Danville’s 2nd Annual Scarecrow Decorating Competition! 

These scarecrows will line the Danville town green through Halloween! Scarecrows must be child appropriate, please no political themes or anything too scary/gory. Let your imaginations sore!

This year will be a little different – start crafting your scarecrows now and then install yours to any light pole (first come, first serve) around the green the weekend of Oct 19-20 (you’re welcome to decorate the week before but no earlier please!). Once your scarecrow is installed please let us know what light pole number you used at this form. Pre-register below – there will be an adult and child category. There will be a box of rope, zip ties, ect. left on the gazebo closer to the installation date for you to use. 

Online voting will take place October 21st – Oct 25th! Winners will be announced Saturday, October 26th. First Place for both Adult and child – $100 each category.

Scarecrows will be removed November 1st, if you would like to have your scarecrow back you may pick up at 101 Park Street. Please make arrangements with Chelsea for pick-up/drop-off before November 5th.
